Model production is a major aspect of the overall operation of hydrodynamics research facilities. Machine tools with proven designs have been available from Kempf and Remmers over many years. Today these are upgraded by HR Wallingford Technology to suit current demands for computer control. Accurate and rapid production of hulls, propellers and other components required for test operations can be achieved using the wide range of production machines available.
Our modern range of CNC Ship Model Milling Machines come is a wide range of size as well as configurations from Small 3 to 5m model version based on the traditional twin spindle 3-axis configuration to large version for models upto 14m with single or twin spindle 5-axis, that can be either supplied in rail gantry or bed and gantry configuration.
To accompany these milling machines we also have a range of sterntube drilling devices based on traditional K&R designs.
