Hollow Fiber Vacuum Solutions

While not an obvious solution, hollow fibers actually provide an excellent means of delivering light into a vacuum chamber. Guiding has developed custom CF and KF flanges with windows and optical mounts to facilitate fiber to fiber light delivery across a vacuum interface. Hollow fibers are particularly useful for infrared applications with excellent transmission through the entire long-wave infrared and even as far as λ = 16 µm.

Custom Laser Delivery Solutions

Guiding Photonics routinely develops custom laser delivery solutions for commercial laser systems, including QCL, ICL, and CO2 lasers. We provide custom adapter plates that enable direct mounting of a coupling assembly and fiber to the laser head. In addition, we design optical assemblies for collimating and/or focusing the output of the fiber.

Please send us an email with your custom application. Just tell us where you need your light to go, and we will do what we can to guide it there.

Guiding Photonics provides hollow fiber optic waveguides and associated optical assemblies for the mid-infrared (Mid-IR) wavelength range (λ = 2 – 16 µm), including optimal fiber solutions for quantum cascade lasers (QCL), interband cascade lasers (ICL), carbon dioxide (CO2) lasers, and broadband thermal sources (e.g., FTIR). Guiding spun off from OptoKnowledge Systems, Inc. in 2020 to enable an independent focus on customer needs for laser delivery (spanning UV to Far-IR), signal collection, and tunable laser absorption spectroscopy.
